Madhya Pradesh will become developed, 4.21 lakh crore development budget passed

MP Assembly: The budget grant demands of all the remaining departments were presented together in the assembly and approved. Appropriation Bill-2 was also passed by voice vote. The budget of Rs 4 lakh 21 thousand 32 crore for the financial year 2025-26 got the approval of the House. The proceedings of the House continued for 11 hours continuously.

Final meeting on 24 March

The last meeting of the budget session will be held on March 24. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar objected to presenting all the grant demands together and said, Public Works Department is still pending. The Speaker said, time is short, there are also 4 non-official resolutions. These can be discussed only on Friday.

The Finance Minister presented all the grant demands together

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented all the grant demands together. After this, Appropriation No. 2 Bill was presented to withdraw the amount. Congress MLA Sohanlal Balmik raised objection and said, we present the budget and start telling about the estimated deficit and if the revenue collection is not complete, then how will the state achieve the target of 2 trillion economy in 2047.

Congress MLAs were also given Rs 15 crore each for the development of their areas 

There was also a demand to give Rs 15 crore each to Congress MLAs for the development of their areas without any discrimination. In response, Deora said- I am assuring the House that the government’s budget is for all sections. The entire money will be spent for the development of the state. After this, the House approved Appropriation No. 2 by voice vote.
